This policy explains what personal information Masterful Minds ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use this website or buy from us, how we use it, and who we share it with. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Order details — your name, email address, and (for printed books) your shipping and billing address and phone number.
- Payment information — handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and the last digits of the card, but we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — basic, mostly anonymous analytics about how the site is used (such as pages visited and rough location), to help us improve it.
- Messages — anything you send us by email.
How we use it
- To take payment and confirm your order.
- To deliver your books — emailing your download links, and sending printed books to your address.
- To provide customer support and respond to your messages.
- To keep records of sales and to understand and improve our website and products.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't add you to marketing emails without your consent.
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed, with trusted service providers who help us run the store:
- Stripe — to process your payment securely.
- Our print & fulfilment partner — to print and post your books (this means sharing your shipping address and order details for that order).
- Our email provider — to send your download links and order emails.
- Analytics providers (such as Google Analytics and/or Cloudflare) — to measure site traffic.
These providers may store and process data overseas. We share information with them only to provide our service to you, or where required by law.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small amount of analytics to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the store will still work.
Keeping your information
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and tax obligations, then delete or de-identify them. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, though no online service can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email us. If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first; you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Children
Our books are written for young people, but purchases are made by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always posted here.
